Crown's Chaplaincy Support Service

In recognition that from time to time some people need a form of spiritual support, Chaplains Without Borders has been providing a Chaplaincy Support Service at Crown for the convenience of staff and customers for the last three years. The Chaplaincy uses new models for participation in spiritual life, and works with those who may have gaming issues, in conjunction with established Crown support service initiatives. The service is free – appointments can be made by calling 1800 456 228.

The Chaplaincy Support Service at Crown respects all religious beliefs and traditions in the spirit of tolerance. While its foundation is Christian, people of Jewish, Muslim and other faiths have strong links to the chaplaincy and participate in its activities.

Information can also be provided in relation to aspects of personal relationships. All inter-faith enquiries welcome.

The Chaplaincy Support Service at Crown was established as part of Crown’s overall package of services which include the Crown Employee Assistance Program and the Responsible Gaming Support Centre.

Southern Cross Station

Located in Melbourne’s CBD, Southern Cross Station is the major centre for state rail and bus travel in Victoria. On the 12th December 2007, Southern Cross Station had a world first in the opening of an inter-faith prayer room that provides general counseling for travelers, as well as providing a place for quiet reflection, a kiblah and prayer mats. The inter-faith prayer room was an initiative of Father James Grant and strongly supported by Southern Cross Station’s CEO Mr Phillip Walker.
